Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Back In Focus On Firm Spot Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Tuesday rose 0.44 per cent to Rs821 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for February delivery climbed Rs3.60 or 0.44 per cent to Rs821 per kg in a business turnover of 1,287 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose 55 paise to Rs 239.30 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in February increased 55 paise or 0.23 per cent to Rs239.30 per kg in 813 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
